“Lord, what do you want from me?”: Part 1

                                                                                                  February 2004 (15 years ago)
Dear Cornelia,

Peace and patience to you! God knows your struggle and your desire! God knows you more than you know yourself and wants to assure you that He is with you in all this!

You first thought about religious life when you were only 8 or 9 years old. You did not give too much importance to it then, but the idea came back into your mind from time to time.

You are from Săbăoani, a village in the North of Romania where everybody is Catholic and where all the religious sisters you know are wearing a habit. The adventure with the FCJ Sisters began in 1998.  You were 18 years old at the time and went to study Nursing in Bucharest, where you met the FCJ sisters for the first time. It was so different and not easy to believe that they were real sisters since they lived in an apartment like most of the people in the town and were dressed like everybody else.
The questions ‘Which is my way? What is God’s desire for me? What does God expect from me?’ were always present in your heart those years even if you did not speak about it with anyone, and after finishing your studies these questions become stronger.

Now, you are working in Chartres and you really want to make this choice for your life. It is now! You are 24 years old! Why wait? You do not want to postpone your Yes and at the same time you do not want either to make a mistake, since you desire absolutely to do God`s will by your choice. You are awaiting signs from God in order to understand your call.

You are great! You try your best and this is what God is expecting from you! Do not lose your hope and confidence! Trust in God!

Since you desire to accomplish God`s will it is good to give him that chance to choose the right time, the right place and the right way in which He will make you understand where He is calling you. The reflection and the interior filings for your daily life experiences will clarify little by little the path God is hoping for you. He will show you the way and he will walk gently with you. Be patient!
Like an empty vessel, abandon yourself in God`s hands, open your heart and mind in order to receive whatever He wishes to pour out for you.

God indeed has big plans for you, He loves you very much and will shower you with blessings far more abundantly than you can ever ask or imagine.

With much love and assuring you of my prayer,
A friend
